History of HTML

In 1980, The Famous Physicist Tim Berners Lee founded HTML. In 1989, Berners-Lee wrote a memo proposing an Internet-based hypertext system. Berners-Lee specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software in late 1990.

Introduction of HTML

HTML Stands for hypertext markup language. It is the standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, colour, graphic and hyperlink effects on www that means world wide web pages. It defines the page layout and elements within the pages.

In other words, HTML is an authoring language which is used to create documents on the world wide web. It defines the structured and layout of a web page by using tags and attributes.

How it Works

These documents are saved in text format and can be easily viewed or edited on operating system that is able to connect to the internet.
