HTTP URL Encoding

Using ASCII character set, which often contains characters outside the ASCII set, HTTP URLs can only be sent over the Internet. Thus these unsafe characters have to be replaced by a percentage followed by two hexadecimal numbers.

The table below shows the character ASCII symbols and their replacements which can be used in the URL before passing it to the server:
